Refund & Cancellation Policy

    Instalease Corp (\"Instalease\") is committed to fair and transparent cancellation and refund policies. This policy applies to all bookings made through our platform and should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service.

    1. Standard Cancellation Policy

    More than 24 Hours Before

    100% Refund - Full refund of booking amount, excluding service fees

    Within 24 Hours Before

    50% Refund - Partial refund of booking amount

    After Booking Start Time

    No Refund - No refund available

    Important: Individual hosts may set their own cancellation policies, which will be clearly displayed on the listing page before you complete your booking. Host-specific policies may be more flexible than the standard policy above.

    2. Service Fees

    Instalease service fees (typically 10% of the booking amount) are non-refundable except in the following cases:

    • The host cancels your confirmed booking
    • The space is significantly not as described
    • The space is unsafe or uninhabitable
    • Instalease determines the host violated our policies

    3. Host Cancellations

    If a host cancels your confirmed booking:

    • You will receive a full refund, including all service fees
    • Refund will be processed within 5-10 business days
    • You may be eligible for a booking credit or coupon
    • The host may face penalties including account suspension

    We will make reasonable efforts to help you find alternative spaces if your booking is cancelled by a host.

    4. Refund for Space Issues

    4.1 Space Not as Described

    If the space significantly differs from the listing description, you may be eligible for a refund. To qualify:

    • Contact support within 24 hours of check-in
    • Provide photographic evidence of the discrepancies
    • Give the host an opportunity to remedy the situation
    • Work with our resolution team to find a fair outcome

    4.2 Safety or Health Issues

    If the space poses safety or health hazards:

    • Document the issues immediately with photos/videos
    • Contact our 24/7 support team right away
    • Do not continue using the space if unsafe
    • You may be eligible for a full refund and assistance finding alternative space

    5. Modification of Bookings

    Changes to confirmed bookings are subject to host approval and availability:

    • Date Changes: Contact the host through our messaging system
    • Time Extensions: Subject to availability and same rates
    • Additional Fees: May apply for significant modifications
    • Cancellation: If host cannot accommodate changes, standard cancellation policy applies

    6. Special Circumstances

    6.1 Force Majeure Events

    In cases of extraordinary circumstances beyond anyone's control (natural disasters, government-mandated closures, public health emergencies), we will work with both parties to find a fair resolution, which may include:

    • Full or partial refunds
    • Booking credits for future use
    • Rescheduling without penalties

    6.2 Medical Emergencies

    If you need to cancel due to a medical emergency:

    • Contact support as soon as possible
    • Provide appropriate documentation (medical certificates, etc.)
    • We will review your case on an individual basis
    • Partial or full refunds may be granted at our discretion

    7. Refund Processing

    7.1 Timeline

    Once a refund is approved:

    • Processing Time: 3-5 business days for Instalease to process
    • Bank Processing: Additional 5-10 business days depending on your financial institution
    • Total Time: Expect 8-15 business days for refund to appear

    7.2 Refund Method

    Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for booking. If the original payment method is unavailable, we will work with you to find an alternative method.

    8. Dispute Resolution

    If you disagree with a refund decision:

    • Contact our support team to request a review
    • Provide any additional evidence or documentation
    • Our resolution team will conduct a thorough review
    • Final decisions will be communicated within 7-10 business days

    You may also initiate a chargeback with your credit card company, though we encourage resolving disputes through our support channels first.

    9. Long-Term Bookings

    For bookings of 30 days or longer:

    • First month's payment is non-refundable after first 48 hours
    • 30-day notice required for cancellation of ongoing bookings
    • Prorated refunds may be available for unused time after proper notice
    • Special cancellation policies may apply (review listing details)

    10. No-Shows

    If you fail to show up for your booking without prior cancellation:

    • No refund will be issued
    • Full booking amount and fees are forfeited
    • The host is entitled to keep the full payment
    • Repeated no-shows may result in account restrictions
