    Zero Tolerance for Harassment

    We do not tolerate harassment of any kind, including:

    • Threatening, intimidating, or violent language
    • Unwanted sexual advances or comments
    • Bullying, stalking, or persistent unwanted contact
    • Hate speech or slurs based on protected characteristics

    2. Non-Discrimination Policy

    Hosts: You cannot deny bookings based on discriminatory reasons. All booking decisions must be based on legitimate, non-discriminatory factors such as availability, space requirements, or booking history.

    For Hosts

    Provide accurate information about your space:

    • Use recent, unaltered photos that accurately represent your space
    • Clearly describe all amenities, features, and limitations
    • Disclose any potential issues or inconveniences
    • Keep your calendar up-to-date with accurate availability
    • Honor confirmed bookings unless extraordinary circumstances arise

    For Renters

    Be truthful in your communications:

    • Provide accurate information about your intended use
    • Disclose the actual number of attendees/users
    • Be honest about any special requirements or circumstances
    • Don't misrepresent your identity or booking purpose

    4. Safety First

    Everyone's safety is paramount:

    • Hosts: Ensure your space meets all safety codes and regulations
    • Hosts: Provide emergency contact information and clear safety instructions
    • Renters: Follow all safety rules and guidelines provided by hosts
    • Everyone: Report safety concerns immediately
    • Everyone: Never share personal contact information prematurely

    5. Property Respect

    Renters must treat spaces with care and respect:

    • Leave spaces in the same condition as you found them
    • Follow all house rules provided by the host
    • Report any accidental damage immediately
    • Don't exceed capacity limits or permitted uses
    • Respect neighbors and surrounding areas
    • Dispose of trash properly

    6. Fair Reviews

    Reviews help build trust in our community. When leaving reviews:

    • Base reviews on your actual experience
    • Be honest but constructive in feedback
    • Avoid personal attacks or irrelevant information
    • Don't threaten negative reviews to obtain refunds or benefits
    • Don't offer incentives for positive reviews
    • Focus on facts and your genuine experience

    7. Privacy Expectations

    Respect everyone's privacy:

    • Don't share others' personal information without consent
    • Hosts must disclose any surveillance devices (cameras, recording equipment)
    • No hidden cameras or surveillance in private areas (bathrooms, bedrooms)
    • Use platform messaging until both parties are comfortable sharing direct contact
    • Don't publicly share details of bookings or private communications

    8. Prohibited Activities

    Strictly Forbidden

    The following activities will result in immediate account suspension or termination:

    • Illegal activities of any kind
    • Drug manufacturing or distribution
    • Sex trafficking or prostitution
    • Weapons manufacturing or illegal firearms
    • Unauthorized parties or events
    • Damaging or destroying property
    • Fraud or payment scams
    • Creating fake accounts or reviews
    • Circumventing platform fees

    9. Reporting Violations

    If you witness or experience a violation of these guidelines:

    • Report the issue immediately through our platform
    • Provide detailed information and evidence (screenshots, photos)
    • Contact our 24/7 support team for urgent safety concerns
    • All reports are confidential and taken seriously

    Emergency: If you're in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (911) first, then notify Instalease.

    10. Consequences of Violations

    Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in:

    • Warning: First-time minor violations may receive a warning
    • Account Suspension: Temporary removal from the platform
    • Permanent Ban: Complete account termination with no appeal
    • Legal Action: Serious violations may be reported to authorities
    • Financial Penalties: Damage fees, booking cancellations without refund

    We review each case individually and consider factors such as severity, intent, and history when determining consequences.

    11. Conflict Resolution

    If issues arise between hosts and renters:

    • First, try to communicate directly and respectfully to resolve the issue
    • Use our messaging platform to document communications
    • Contact Instalease support if direct resolution isn't successful
    • Our resolution team will mediate and help find a fair solution
    • Provide evidence such as photos, messages, or documentation

    We value community feedback and continuously update these guidelines to reflect:
